Polls

We are electing our next President this weekend (1st round). Since I am far away I don't know how the campaign is being covered by TV, but I am reading newspapers through Internet, and it has been poll galore for months. Nothing but polls, polls, polls. I'm sick of polls....
But I do like Calvin's "Dad Poll". I think I am going to introduce a "Mum Poll", a "Husband Poll", a "Boss Poll"...

Women and the others

Last time I took the Tsukuba Express, I hastily jumped into the compartment right in front of me, in my usual absent-minded way. It was only after a while I noticed that I was surrounded by only women. I realized I was in a "women only" passenger car when I saw the pink stickers on the windows.

Commuter trains in Japan are overcrowded most of the time. It must be pretty easy to grab the next boob or bum while trying to look completely innocent (sorry, but what can I do, it's not my fault, I HAVE TO be all over you...).

Such kind of "chikan" (perverts) are apparently a problem in public transportation, hence the creation of the "woman only" policy during rush hours at least.
Thanks to the pink stickers, women are happily smiling on their way to work.
The rest of the crowd, oh well, they just have to deal with this!

Best of Sakura 2007

What would Japan be without cherry blossom? (well, it would be Japan without cherry blossom, I guess).

Always looking forward to that time of the year...
The wind has been blowing and it is chilly out there, petals are already falling off, slowly, like a spring snow. Farewell....
