I came across those T-shirts on a website and thought "oh, but that's me!". Grumpy girl, haha.
That's exactly what I look like in the morning. Wearing my Yukata or morning gown, sipping my coffee, aaand....grumpy. But it looks like there are more grumpy girls out there, I'm relieved.

Flaming toilets

Japan's leading toilet manufacturer Toto Ltd. is offering free repairs for 180.000 toilets after wiring problems caused several to catch fire, the company said.
Wiring problems, yes. Because in Japan toilets are plugged in (not all of them, of course).
Heated toilet seats are a standard fixture in Japanese homes (because there is no central heating?) and they often include an automatic bidet function (I'm not a big fan...).
The popular Z series features a pulsating massage spray, powder dry, built-in-the-bowl deodorizing filter, the "tornado wash" flush and a lid that opens and closes automatically.


But Japan is a country of contrasts. One can still find traditional squat toilets, especially in train stations and public venues.
They look like that replica ashtray (the "Ashlet"), that squirts out water to extinguish ashes when flushed. Looks fun! Too bad I'm not a smoker.
